What can I expect when I choose you as my photographer?

Service excellence...  All clients are given the best treatment in every aspect of the experience with me as your photographer and I am open to any ideas or requests that you may have.

Images that you will treasure...  I give attention to detail which in turn produces images that will move and inspire the viewer.  All images are personally selected by me, enhanced and retouched to perfection.

When should I book a newborn session and what can I expect in a newborn session?

The earlier you book your newborn session the better.  The best time to photograph a newborn baby is when they are under 2 weeks of age, but I do photograph them up to the 6 week mark.  I recommend that you get in contact with me anytime during your pregnancy.  I normally go on your due date for the tentative booking and then once you are home with your new baby you can give me a call so that we can arrange a suitable date and time for your session.

A newborn session can last up to 3 hours.  Your session will take place in my natural light studio where we will have access to all of my props and accessories.  I want to stress that safety is my number one priority.  We have hands on baby at all times during the shoot for their safety.  When looking though my galleries please note that a lot of the images are actual composites.

*Note ~ If you are specifically looking for those cute sleepy and curled up poses I highly recommend that you have the session before baby is 14 days old.  The older a baby gets the more they lose that curly posture.

What sessions do you shoot in studio and outdoors?
I work with natural and studio lighting. I have a home studio which I specifically use for newborns, babies up to 1 year and maternity.  Most maternity and older children are photographed outdoors at an agreed location.

Can I have a newborn photo shoot at my own home or any other location?
No.  All Newborn sessions take place at my home studio where I can control the room temperature and have access to all my props and accessories.

Do you use props?
Yes.  I have a huge selection of props and accessories.  Each session is personally styled by me.

When should I book a maternity session?
I recommend that you book your maternity session early.  The best time to have your session is between 32 - 37 weeks of pregnancy.

What happens after my session?

I will meticulously cull through your session, selecting only the best images for editing.  Roughly 2-3 weeks after your session, I will email you with a link to your online viewing gallery.   You can then order your images in accordance with your package.   Extra images or products will be ordered once FULL payment is received. There is an estimated delivery time of 2 weeks for prints and products.

Do you do hair and make-up?
No.  Please ensure that your hair and make-up is exactly the way you want it to be before arriving.  Keep your make-up light.  If you are wearing nail polish, please ensure that this is neat and chip free.  It is advisable that you bring your make-up and nail polish with you incase touch ups are needed.

Can we get the RAW files?

No, I do not provide any RAW files.  All images produced by Carol Luff Photography are protected under the copyright law.
